!!! UNKNOWN HEADER TYPE (MULTI-LINE BREAK?) !!!

I’ve been working intermittently in the garage over the last week, and will probably still be in there for another week.

I could use some playlist suggestions for tunes. I like a lot of music genres, not some much into newer Country, Blues, Jazz, or “screaming” metal.

But Rock, Punk, Speed Metal, Rap, Hip-Hop, most anything electronic, old Country, Classical, Remixes, Mashups, whatever else is often played.

This week I’ve listened to R&B, Club stuff, some Trance, Some Punk, 50's “rock”, Chillwave, Little Big, Die Antwoord, The Streets, some happy indie, some 70's rock, Caravan Palace.

Can be on Spotify, GooglePlay, Youtube, whatever. I’m starting to run a little thin on things my brain wants to hear right now.

Plop it in here and I’ll have a whirl. Can’t guarantee I’ll like it, but I’ll try it.

I’ve been following DJ Ravine, who’s been doing a daily stream since the Coron apocalyp se started, which is a good fill for 45 minutes to two hours. He’s got 4 persona that he runs through, so it’ll be DJ Ravine (EDM & Happy Hard), Master Wobble (Bass), Xue Fei (Trance & Techno) and DJ Slavine (Russian Hardbass).

Beyond that I’ve been doing whole albums, so day before I had on Tool, Monday some Metallica. Tomorrow will be a Floyd day.

If you like classic country, you could check out Karl Shiflett, he covers a lot of 1940s and ‘50s stuff, and maybe some ‘30s. He’s got a r eally talented band, too.

I’m pretty big into alt rock but partially because of the diversity. I also like a little folk and “other.” Here’s some that you may like, depending on your mood. I’ve tried not to go too melancholy but that is just my mood.

I really liked Cage the Elephant’s last album, Social Cues .

And some “other.”

cage the elephant is great. for some reason, out of all their hits, my local station plays Aint no rest for the wicked, over 50% of all their plays. I’ll hear that at least once a week, and lucky to hear anything else.

Shake me Down is an all time favorite and Cigarette Daydreams is high up the list. Aberdeen has also grown on me lately.

Shame you don't get more variety. I had a station that was great for actual real variety but they unfortunately folded a few weeks ago. RIP Alt 105.7

Good. I love me some folk influenced rock and whatever Gorillaz happens to be doing. If you like Neko Case, you may like Joan Baez and Aimee Mann. I also recommend Wilco.

I’ve got a very eccen tric taste in music. In a move that horrifies almost everyone, I have every single song I like on one playlist. If you have Spotify, it’s Quadruple Whippets if you are morbidly curious.

Pink Floyd is one of my all-time least favourite artists for some reason. I recognize and respect the music, just really don’t like it; And man have I tried. Even while being quite stoned too. Pearl Jam is like that for me too. Just can’t get behind it.

I saw her live at FolkFest in Calgary. She was playing some fairly happy go lucky songs while I was walking by and then she said something along the lines of “we’ve got one last song, it’s a gorgeous day let’s pump some energy into it” and then ROARED this out at full “turn it up to eleven”-mode.

Simon and Garfunkel need more air time around me, Blondie too. Not a big Elvis or W Nelson fan. But little injections here and there are good too; they’ve got great talent and voices.
